As well as a wonderful letter which was greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing so much with me.

The prayer and bible referencess were AMAZING! Hugs

Thank you so much and WE are praying for you and yours as well. In fact, my husband after reading your letter, said a prayer right then…

God Bless You Angela.

I have already been shopping and back and I used the gift card wisely.

We’re having chicken and yellow rice with green beans tonite. Yummy!

The purchases will get us through a few more days as we are still waiting on the donations from GoFundme. I had really hoped they would be here today. Tomorrow, probably! πŸ™‚

All in good time as they say, tho. πŸ™‚

Pasta anyone? :)

Ok, so today didn’t go quite as well as we might have hoped. In fact it did not go well at all. Peggy ( the one who has been interested in a vintage buffet) backed out after speaking with her husband. They are strapped too. AND The meeting that my husband had with the Shriners was unsuccessful. Oh WELL! I’m not complaining. Tomorrow things will be better. I am certain.

Yes today, our food rations are pretty low BUT we have enough boxed pasta in the cupboard to feed an army… . Hence, my most clever blog title! TRUE! If I learned anything from this experience, is there’s lots you can do with pasta. I also found a package of instant mashed potatos ( my comfort food, seriously! πŸ™‚ so that’s what I am having for dinner.

AGAIN I am not complaining. Some don’t even have that so NO this is NOT a desperate plea. Just the reality of the day.

Tomorrow things will be better.

I believe it!

Thank you Melissa & Lou! Very grateful for your kindnesses.

Today, I received a small food gift package via USPS from Melissa. It contained cat food, a few canned food items, canned fruit, some lemon tea, and rice pilaf . Melissa is my first contributor. She doesn’t do much because she can’t afford much and she also does for others but what she does do means the world to me and I wanted to make special mention of Melissa’s gift.

I’m drinking hot lemon tea as I write this and have already used the pilaf, pineapple and corn with a small can of ham that was already here for tonight’s meal. it was pretty tasty.

And one of my special Aussie friends Lou donated $50 today via GOFundeMe. This was her second offering in less than a week and I promise her, that it will go to pay a bill or portion of one.

Thank you so much.

An Unexpected Blessing – Groceries! Praise God!

A gentleman who befriended us and comes by the store quite often to visit and read the bible with my husband, showed up today with several bags of groceries ( chock full of fresh fruits, veggies, meat, and staples ) , right out of the blue .

Apparently he was concerned because my husband has lost quite a bit of weight in the last few months after his ulcer started giving him fits and he landed in the hospital for extensive tests . No HUGE issues were found as a result of those tests.

The biggest culprit for his weightloss I believe, is the stress that comes from our predicament.

My husband just told me that our friend had asked him recently, if he was eating. My husband assured him that he was and never thought another thing about it. He probably didn’t tell me about our friend’s concern because I too, am concerned about his weight loss.

But I am TRULY amazed by this BLESSING! And felt I needed to share. God IS GOOD! Thank you Lord.

Thank you too T. aka “The Gentleman” . πŸ™‚
